In Jr. Lightning Makayla Quam was awarded the 2010 Pacific Raceways 50th Anniversary Champion Jacket.
The High School Champion came into the 2010 season looking to bring home the championship and that is exactly what Trevor Morey did. He was able to clinch the season championship before the final event of the 2010 season. Trevor did make sure to thank his mom for letting him use her daily driver to bring home the championship.
Joe Lind was the Motorcycle champion when all of the points were calculated at the end of the season. In Sportsman, Casey Reed came away with the championship in 2010. Casey was prepared for the banquet as he had a speech all written out. He thanked his mom and dad, his brother, his grandparents and his girlfriend. Casey also wanted to make sure to let his girlfriend know that just because she is coming out and racing this season in sportsman this year that he doesn’t plan on losing to her on track.
Greg Steen was crowned the 2010 Pro champion. Greg Steen thanked his son for helping him all season long with the car. Greg also thanked Dale Green, of DG Machine, for help on the engine. Greg stated he can’t wait to get back out at the track this season and try to defend his championship.
The Super Pro championship came down to the final race of the 2010 season to award the champion. Fred Hoffman came into the event with the points lead, but Jody Hendricks was right behind him and when Hoffman lost in the first round, all he could do was sit and watch as Hendricks went round after round, but she did come up a few rounds short. That gave Fred Hoffman yet another track championship at Pacific Raceways. Hoffman did thank his sponsor DG Machine for all their help throughout the year and he can’t wait to get back to the track and defend his title.
Pacific Raceways would like to say thank you to all of the racers and crew members that made the 2010 season such a great year and look forward to 2011 being even better.
