The Pacific Raceways Drag Strip is an NHRA certified and sanctioned 1/4-mile racing surface, with a full 1/2-mile runoff area.
In April 2004 the racing surface was completely laser-leveled with a new concrete surface constructed for the first 660 feet, and a new asphalt surface for the remainder of the 1/4-mile.
The Drag Strip is at an altitude of 150 feet above sea level, and is bordered on both sides by a dense oxygen-producing forest of pine trees. This makes the air at Pacific Raceways exceptionally good for extracting every bit of horsepower from race engines.
Racing fuel, provided by is available in the racing pits area.
